My Grandpa died in May of 2003 after a short bout (2 months) with cancer. At Christmas dinner 2002, he said a prayer about it might be the last time all of us are together. Did he know?
After he passed away, my dad, uncle and aunt took all the valuables out of the house. My Grandma had late stages of Alzheimer's and was moved to an assisted living facility. The night of her funeral, my uncle decided to divvy up the valuables. My uncle, aunt and dad started sorting through stuff. They opened my Grandpa's wallet that has been in the safe for 5+ years. There were 7 $1 bills in it. There are 7 grandkids. He knew that. They pulled out a bag of $1 coins. There were 15 in it. There are 15 great grandkids, 6 of whom Grandpa never met. Did he know?
Some say that my Grandpa was the fairest, most honest man they ever met. What a compliment. He definitely lived right with Jesus and loved his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren with all he had.
