Today was our last appointment! I say last because it will be! After checking the heartbeat (160bpm) she checked for dialation. I was 4 cm. Dr. Russell wanted to discuss "an exit strategy!" Her words, not mine. She said, "On Saturday morning you're going to call the hospital at 7am. You will show up at the hospital at 8am. You will get checked in and we will get started on induction." My reaction was, "By Saturday, you mean two days from now?" She informed me that I was having a baby! She is so funny. Her decision to induce, eased my mind. I have been miserable for the last three months mostly due to the broken ankle. She said, there was no need to try to make it to my due date of October 12th. She believes he's about 8lbs and he's healthy and I'm huge and miserable....why continue on this way?
On my way to work, I called my mom, dad, brother, sister in law, Aunt Vickie, Aunt Billie. I got to work and informed everyone that in two days, I was having a baby! My team took me out for my "last" lunch. It's kind of funny that Terri came back from maternity leave this week and now I'm leaving.
In less than three days, I'm going to be a mom!!!! It's gone by so fast and yet so slow.
